THANK YOU πŸ™πŸ’Ÿ

Alzheimers took my maternal grandmother nearly 38 years ago, so it's hard not to feel like a moving target.

Hi Deb, I open your newsletter every time it lands and read it from top to bottom. I was delighted to see you mentioned me! This is key information that everyone should know. You're the best. xoxo Annie

I love that you are such a strong advocate for weight lifting. I've been doing it for years and am now going to hire a trainer to help me with form. A friend with osteo is content to hoist her two pound weights, I can't convince her to up the weight. I just think of my niece, who is a trainer (in another state), who says routinely, "Pick up something heavy!"

Yes, it has to be heavy! I have osteoporosis. It's how I got started with weight lifting, and I've been doing it 3 days a week religiously ever since.

I’ve been strength training 2-3 days a week for the last two years and recently started working with a barbell. I love being strong! Recently, I squatted with 185 pounds and deadlifted 210 pounds. I’m in perimenopause and the strongest I’ve ever been. Just sent this week’s substack to my best friend whose mother has early onset dementia. Thank you for all the research you share!
