Women's health and bodily autonomy are directly on the line today. Please protect yours by voting for Kamala Harris then turning off the TV for the rest of the day.
I'm listening to your video of the blue wave crashing on the shore as I type this. I may play it on repeat throughout the day. Thanks you for all the work you do to get awareness about women's health on our radar. 💪🏻🌀💙🌊
Ha! It was a rental. Provided by the super PAC for whom he’s been working all fall. Hertz will now have to deal with the mess of our country’s division. And thank you.
Indeed! HCR and Joyce Vance are part of each day for me. I’ve recently discovered your writings (books and now Substack) TODAY I became a LADYPARTS paid subscriber. ONWARD❣️
Deborah! How can you dis what is a body part that we all share, celebrated in paintings and sculpture, as so many of us find it to be beautiful and sexy?
The derriere originally evolved so that our hominid ancestors could chase prey animals for hours and miles, along with the loss of body hair, the achilles tendon, and the nuchal ligament (holds the head steady when we run). (Paleoanthropologist Daniel Lieberman of Harvard has studied and written about this.) Somewhere along the way, the derriere became a secondary sex characteristic that many of both genders find wonderfully beautiful and erotic.
I voted for Harris probably a month and a half ago, and I probably had the first HARRIS bumper sticker in the country. I printed it out from my computer the day after President Biden passed the torch, as I sensed her campaign was going to soar, as it has, and I taped it to my bumper, where it remains, despite having gone through a few wicked rainstorms (unscathed).
Never have the words “and may God bless the United States of America” taken on a more haunting significance. Nothing left to do but breathe and pray.
Thank you! And thank you for your son. It sounds like he’s an awesome young man.
I am obviously biased, but I think so. xx

I should have kept filming it for an hour. Just to have that sound in the background today. Thank YOU!!!
Thank you for sharing Montauk today and for writing so well. The Altlantic just restores the soul.
And those egg splotches? They were earned fighting the good fight. If they don’t come out I hope your son’s car wears them proudly.

You covered it all perfectly Deborah and Heather Cox Richardson has also been my North Star throughout -fingers crossed 🤞🏻
Right? She’s a machine of good information and a force for good. I love how she puts everything into historical context. Brilliant. Truly.
Thank you, Deborah! Your words today were a balm to me and were just what I needed. Thanks also for the photo and video of the beautiful waves.
You’re welcome! Thank you.

Hahahaha!
Thank you. This is exactly what I needed to read today and shared with multiple friends. Breathing and praying.
Same. Just ordered Indian food for dinner, in honor of Kamala. Then will not not NOT turn on the TV until 8 pm no matter what.
I'm not even American (or living there) but l can't turn it off. The compulsion to keep checking while l work is too strong
