My publisher, She Writes Press, is such a sisterhood. I never knew how supportive and essential being part of such a community was to a writer--a woman--until I published my first book with them. ♥️ I love this love story!
I Like your comment about the “given” name. I “chose” my name when I married Michael Devine. Of course that is not a good reason to marry someone, but I liked the alliteration of Domenica Devine and when i got my doctorate, well D-cubed was a shoe-in. Good thing it wasn’t just the name that I loved. We’ve been married 36 years, friends for longer than that. Really thanks for all you do.
Wow! This one hit many notes ! I was 10 yrs into my photo career when Shutterbabe published and I absolutely adored it! I too navigated the publishing world and it was maddening ! You haven’t lost a step in your writing skills and I hope you never do :) Thanks for “ putting what needs to be heard out there “ 😍 Going to see Lee this weekend.
Thanks, Margie. So kind of you to say this. And I hope you like the film as much as I did. You'll note that Kate Winslet actually learned how to use a Rolliflex for the part and some of the photos in the film are, in fact, hers!

Love this! Thanks for sharing.
Deborah—I thought of you while watching Lee. ❤️
I thought of you, too. And everything we’ve been through as women telling stories.
XOXOXO
Thanks for all you do!
Thank YOU!
